A New Perspective
A Stronger Snoqualmie
I’m Dan Murphy, and I’m running for Snoqualmie City Council to bring new energy, fresh ideas, and a more collaborative approach to our city. I’m a small business owner, serve on the City Planning Commission, and have over 20 years of professional experience working with local governments. I know what it takes to engage a community, communicate a vision, and get things done for our residents. On Council, I’ll bring bold solutions, ask tough questions, and serve all of Snoqualmie’s residents with independence, inclusivity, and humility.
Snoqualmie has a lot going for it. We are consistently rated one of the safest communities in Washington, we have not one but two wonderful, walkable retail corridors, and our network of parks and trails is among the most extensive in King County.
But we also face some big decisions about our future. We must determine the best path forward for our police force, decide whether to make a major investment in a community pool, and work to expand housing options for our residents.
On Council, my top priorities will include:
Strengthening our public safety—ensuring that our police and first responders have the tools they need to do the job.
Supporting local merchants and small businesses in the Historic Downtown and on Snoqualmie Ridge to bring more foot traffic and tourism dollars to their front doors.
Prioritizing transparent decision-making, grounded in more listening, empathy, and humility—too many critical city decisions are made behind closed doors.
Fostering greater collaboration across the Snoqualmie Valley, especially with our neighbors in North Bend, to tackle shared opportunities and challenges together.
I am committed to building on what makes Snoqualmie special, addressing the challenges ahead, and doing so with openness, collaboration, and respect for all residents.
